Tummy Tucks - is one of the main topics that's talked about in this episode. Firstly, Dr Roth and his staff take a very special and support role with clients who wish for a tummy tuck. In fact, the team feels it is a privilege to help people finalize a dream of looking good and feeling great! It's not easy losing weight sometimes, and when you lose a lot. Often that extra tummy bulge is an anatomical issue. This can be fixed. It's a very powerful operation, especially for a lady's self-esteem. Add a breast lift and some liposuction - affectionately known as the "Mommy Makeover."
Dr Roth has always felt blessed to have been able to work with the late Dr Harry J. Buncke who is known as "The Father of Microsurgery". A real pioneer - listen as Dr Roth shares some of the important lessons he learned while working with Dr Buncke and others which are some of the most valuable lessons and study - 1000s of hours go into being a board-certified plastic surgeon. Guess what - who was a matchbook salesman to help them make money, traveling around the Las Vegas strip in a "Ford Pinto" and it's 120 degrees! Listen and find out this funny story :)

Hi Again and welcome back to episode 2.
Haven’t you always wished to gain a greater understanding of the mysterious and complicated field of plastic surgery? Finally, now you can. Get connected and learn! Tune in and bookmark the “Dr Jeffrey Roth's Looking Good Feeling Great Podcast” with his co-host, Darrell Craig Harris.
Listen in to episodes 02 (PS: for Dr Jeffrey Roth’s background, Bio, and reason for doing this show check out episode 01) and upcoming future episodes as Dr Jeffery Roth starts to provide insightful answers to a number of the most common questions about plastic surgery and Dr Roth’s recommendation and why he chooses certain medical products. All of this and more are posed by his co-host Darrell Craig Harris as they start their open dialogue on the new “Looking Good Feeling Great Podcast.”
For a start, you will be in no doubt about the love, passion, dedication, and empathy that Dr Roth has for his patients and community. Plus, he always seems to add in a wonderful witty comment when you least expect it!
Here’s a taster for this episode and more - hear Dr Roth explain to Darrell as a non-medical person how making a difference in people's lives involves many facets in Dr Roth’s work.
Listen as Dr Roth explains why it takes a long-time (often 12 years) to fully train to be an accomplished certified plastic surgeon, to learn some of the soft skills through multiple experiences, and hone your judgment on what to do or not to do for the well-being of your patient. Having foresight is key to a successful outcome for all parties.
The first decade of this long journey is often in an operating theater environment. Essentially your the captain of the ship, sometimes the best-learned lessons are when unexpected surgical problems present themselves and it’s how you respond rather than react at that moment. Another element Dr Roth and Darrell start to explore in this episode is skin burns which also fall under the remit of plastic surgery. This is a very critical area, especially in an emergency situation as the attending doctor has to evaluate so many important factors in real-time so the patients are best supported. In fact, while in Philadelphia, Dr Roth and a good friend who is also a reconstructive surgeon and department head, co-authored a handbook on the subject – a quick-form concise definitive guide that doctors could read before their respective tour in the burns unit allowing the medical staff to be better prepared. This was way back in the 1990s.
As this episode and future episodes progress many areas are touched on to help YOU the listener gain a better understanding and appreciation of what is essentially a mix of human body and mind engineering, coupled with great artistry and foresight.

Welcome to this first episode of the new podcasts series:
The Dr Jeffrey Roth's Looking Good, Feeling Great Podcast and his co-host, Darrell Craig Harris.
Who is Dr Jeffrey Roth?
Born in Los Angeles, Dr Jeffrey Roth moved to Las Vegas in 1977 and fell in love with what was, then, a sleepy little town. He remembers riding his bike to his local 7-11, which still had a fence post outside for customers’ horses. Talk about a different time!
Although he headed east to Brandeis University for college, his dream was to always come home, and somehow make an impact on the people of Las Vegas.
Drawn to medicine by his innate desire to help others, he received his medical degree from the University of Nevada School of Medicine, and completed his general surgery residency at the Medical College of Pennsylvania/Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and his plastic surgery residency at the University of California, San Francisco, serving as chief resident in both programs.
He then furthered his training with a fellowship in microsurgery and hand surgery at USC where he also served on the faculty. Having finally gathered the kind of expertise that makes him a leader in his field, Dr Roth returned to Las Vegas in 2003 and opened his own practice, Las Vegas Plastic Surgery, Inc.
One of the things that Dr Roth loves most about his hometown is that anything is possible, whether it be Formula 1 racing in the backyard of Caesar’s Palace or an ice skating rink in the middle of the desert. Bottom line: if you can dream it, you can do it. This is also what he loves about plastic surgery. It is constantly reinventing itself with new procedures, innovative techniques, and new technologies.
Board-certified by the American Society of Plastic Surgery, the American Board of Surgery, and the National Board of Medical Examiners, Dr Roth believes in offering his patients the full spectrum of aesthetic procedures from the latest in neck rejuvenation, to cutting edge skincare, to the full range of breast implant options. His goal is to help provide you with every opportunity for achieving your best self.
Married to a fellow hometown girl, Dr Roth is the proud father to a beautiful little girl, who is the apple of her Daddy’s eye.
When not busy catching up on the latest Disney flick, you can find him at the gym, trying to stay in shape, or working with the Clark County Medical Society, continuing his dream of making a difference.
Who is this co-host Guy - Darrell Craig Harris? Well - He has a professional tool bag of credentials as well. Also a native of Las Vegas, Darrell is constantly in demand as a musician and has worked with many A-list artists/actors/celebrities, and spent time as a resident musician with Cirque du Soleil in Japan. Darrell has always loved still photography and video and he's turned this passion into being a credited photographer for both Canon and as an official Getty Photographer. He is a senior writer for the world-renowned JazzInEurope.com online and quarterly print magazine. Darrell hosts the highly successful podcast show: Music Matters with Darrell Craig Harris - the list could go on, so to wrap this up.
